WHEN WE BEGAN. . . . . . . .
In 1980, the Pittsburgh Pediatric Research Group began to do research with the otitis media research center at Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh.
In 1986, PPR became independent, branching out into other areas and recruited physicians dedicated to office-based research.
Today, Primary Physicians Research, Inc. consists of close to 100 physicians at more than 20 sites who help PPR conduct clinical trials.
To date, PPR has participated in over 350 clinical trials
Primary Physicians Research has broadened its area of research from pediatrics to include: Women's Health, Family Practice, Adult, Geriatric and Adolescent trials. PPR also changed its name from Pittsburgh Pediatric Research to Primary Physicians Research, Inc. to better represent the areas of research in which it is involved.
PPR is an established full service clinical research Site Management Organization (SMO) with a network of community based Investigators focusing on Phase II - V sponsored clinical trials.
As a full service Site Management Organization, PPR maintains complete administrative and regulatory functions within its corporate offices located in the metropolitan Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania area.
